Trustees of the Erb's Palsy Group, Karen, Kim and Tom went to Turin, Italy for the Narakas Club 2024 Conference.
The conference is the worlds largest conference on brachial plexus injury. The conference consisted of extremely long days of lectures and discussion on Thursday and Friday and a half day conference on Saturday. Surgeons, Physiotherapists and other medical professionals shared their experiences and latest findings.
The team learned about some of the newest developments within brachial plexus surgery as well spent time networking with some of theworld’s best surgeons and medical professionals.
We also discovered that Prof Tom Quick will be starting a new practice in Bristol from January 2024 (Though this may be later).
The Trustees also had a meeting with other international Erb's Palsy support groups including groups from the USA, Ireland, Netherlands and Germany.
We hope that this experience will enable us to better support members and are confident this will enable our team to provide you with the most up to date information available.
The charity received 2 free places and 1 place funded by Tozers, which hugely assisted in the cost burden on the charity. Thank you to everyone who has supported us.
